
Emily joined PIIRS and World Politics in May 2022, after leaving her position of 12 years as the managing editor of The Annals of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, based at the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to working at UPenn, Emily was the editorial associate and publications coordinator for the Program on Intrastate Conflict at Harvard Kennedy School, and she previously worked in psychological research at Harvard and Cornell. Emily holds a master’s in publishing and writing from Emerson College and a bachelor’s in psychology from Union College.

Jennifer joined World Politics in May 2025. She most recently came from Indiana University where she was a writer and editor for various publications. Jennifer holds a master’s in public relations and advertising from Texas Christian University and a bachelor’s in journalism and international studies from Texas A&M University.
